Jerusalem and Kfar Saba Celebrate Olive Harvest
Recently, Hand in Hand’s Jerusalem and Kfar Saba communities marked the fall harvest by spending the weekend picking olives.
On Friday morning, parents and children arrived to olive groves near their cities, excited to learn about the olive plant and share in all kinds of fun, olive-y activities.
For our Kfar Saba community, this was the first time they had held such an event—and no less than 70 parents and children showed up! Many of our attendees were families who recently joined the school, and we were thrilled that the event served as a way to welcome them into the community.
Although harvest season rolls around every fall, it was a special honor to learn about the ancient processes involved in the cultivation and harvest of these meaningful plants.
How beautiful to watch our community continue to grow!
