Julie I. Bram

Julie Bram is a full time community volunteer and activist.  She has a B.A. in Communication Studies and an M.A. in Education both from UCLA.

As a founding partner and past co-chair of the Jewish Venture Philanthropy Fund, Julie has been blessed to work with many remarkable non-profit organizations.  Her passion lies in using education and communication to affect positive change in the world.  The members of JVPF invest in the Jewish future by pooling their financial resources and business skills to fund new and innovative programs.  To date the fund has donated over $2,000,000 to 30 pioneering organizations.

Julie served as the chair of the 2013 Los Angeles Walk to End Genocide to raise awareness about today’s genocides and to raise funds to support Jewish World Watch’s education and advocacy programs.  JWW also partners with NGO’s on the ground in Africa to bring immediate relief and empower survivors to build a better future.

Julie currently serves on several local and national boards for a wide variety of causes, including American Friends of Hand in Hand, the American Jewish Committee National Board of Governors as well as its Los Angeles Chapter, the Project Interchange National Board, and the Jewish Women’s Theatre.

In addition, Julie and her husband, Steve, support several other charitable causes including IsraAID, an Israeli-based humanitarian aid agency that responds to emergency crises and engages in international development around the world, NewGround, a Los Angeles based Muslim-Jewish partnership for change, and the YMCA Jerusalem Youth Chorus, a choral and dialogue program for Israeli and Palestinian high school students.

Julie and Steve are also Executive Producers of BUTTER, an upcoming independent film that addresses themes of teen bullying, suicide prevention, body shaming and mental illness.
