Johaina Dakwar Salim

Johaina joined as the Principal of the Max Rayne Hand in Hand Elementary School in Jerusalem in September 2020, however, she has been part of the Hand in Hand community for the past 14 years as a parent, and strongly identifies with the goals and values of the Hand in Hand community. Prior to Hand in Hand, Johaina worked primarily in special education as a teacher and occupational therapist. She led staff teams and worked with students at the Alnour School for Special Education, and the Tzur Baher and Um Tuba elementary schools. Johaina holds an MA with Honors in Education and School Administration Certification from David Yellin College, a teaching certificate in Health Education from the Haifa Regional teacher training program, and a BA in Occupational Therapy from the University of Haifa and Technion Institute.
