Youth Division

Our Kfar Saba campus has recently adopted a new educational format: the Hativa Tzeira (Youth Division). They are the first Hand in Hand school to implement this unique programme, which sees the upper preschool class, and the first grade, operating out of a large shared learning space.

This room structure has significant educational benefit. There is a communal central space, alongside three smaller classrooms. In every class, half of the students will engage in supervised play in the shared space, whilst the other half will be doing focused group work in the side classrooms.

The Ministry of Education has a special curriculum specifically aimed at youth divisions, and the idea of the shared space connects to our belief in humanistic education, allowing the grade one student to remain a ‘child’ longer, without pushing them to grow up immediately.
