“How do Jewish and Arab parents disconnect themselves from the images of people killed in Gaza, of scared children in the Jewish towns around Gaza, from violent protests and racist chants?”

This was the question posed by Israel’s Channel 1 journalist for a piece about Hand in Hand’s school in Beit Berl.

Wurud Mansour, a mother in the Beit Berl Preschool explained:

“This is the beginning of change… At our school you can talk to kids who are mature, who see the full picture, who respect both sides, who honor the pain and loss of both sides. You see life. This is what life should be.”
