Amoneh Asfour

Amoneh is the Jaffa community organizer at Hand in Hand.

Amoneh Asfour is a Jaffa native and resident. She obtained her undergraduate degree in dialogue-based education at the Kibbutzim College, and is currently completing her law degree at the Ono Academic College. Amoneh has been an activist in Jaffa for seven years, is a facilitator for “Sedaka-Reut” groups, leads local tours, and runs the Secret Jaffa Facebook page. As part of her role as Hand in Hand’s Jaffa community organizer, Amoneh plans community events throughout the year, advances partnerships and collaborations with external organizations and institutions, and nurtures a cohesive Jewish-Arab community of families in Jaffa. She works closely with the Jaffa “Kulna Yachad” school educational staff, as she believes that there should be a direct link between the pedagogical community aspects of our work.
