Stories of Peacebuilders - Youth Peace Ambassadors Series - Medium Article

Masters student from the Institute of Education at University College London, Sophie de Rijk, recently completed research on the role of integrated education in the process of building peace, focusing on alumni from our Max Rayne Hand in Hand School in Jerusalem.

Rijk’s research found that Hand in Hand alumni are more empathetic, open-minded, and tolerant, and that the school inspired alumni to create positive change in their society.

“I think the most important thing is that you learn how to accept it and see that there is a different side to the story about everything. Not just about politics or the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. But you just learn those lessons and those tools that we get in school and you can implement them in different aspects.” -HIH alumni
