Outdoor Education

The classes in the Kfar Saba Preschool are utilizing pedagogic methodologies that emphasize learning outdoors. Several times a week the children go out to explore and enjoy their surroundings on the campus of Beit Berl, which includes visiting the botanical garden and playing together on the grass near the pond.

Being in nature encourages the children to explore and notice the world around them. The children engage in science related activities
outdoors, like building circular kites and seeing what the wind does to them and why.

They also do bird watching, learning to identify different species, observing how and where they live. The experience of connecting the learning of science to being outdoors is an important way of motivating and exciting the children.
