Middle Schoolers Visit Jerusalem Holy Sites

A key component of our curriculum is having students learn in depth about the city they live in from multiple perspectives. This week, students in our Jerusalem Middle School went on field trip to the Jewish, Muslim, and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. They visited the Western Wall (Kotel), the Temple Mount (Haram al-Sharif) and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The day of learning continued with a lecture on the topic of Bedouins in unrecognized villages in the Negev and the home demolitions and protests in the village of Umm al-Hiran. We feel obligated after last week’s events to deepen our understanding and awareness. Our students and teachers will continue to learn and take action to create the shared society we live and envision.
