Thank you Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg!

We are thrilled to announce that United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be donating proceeds from an award she recently received to Hand in Hand. The Gilel Storch Award is given by the Judisk kultur i Sverige (Jewish Culture in Sweden) to persons whose work has promoted democratic, universal and humanistic values.

Justice Ginsburg has fought her entire career for equality, civil rights, and democracy, and this award credits her lifelong commitment to enshrining these values in the American legal system. We feel incredibly honored that Justice Ginsburg wished to include Hand in Hand in this distinction.

We are humbled by the Justice’s beautiful words about our students:

“From the earliest grades, the children are taught to speak, read, and write in Hebrew and Arabic.  They learn the shared values of Jews, Muslims, and Christians, among them, helping others, welcoming guests, opposing oppression, and caring for the earth.”

Thank you Justice Ginsburg!  And our heartfelt thanks as well to the Judisk kultur i Sverige and the Storch family for your support!
