Mo’taz Ershied, Hand in Hand alumnus, at Columbia Law
“Being a lawyer comes with great responsibility; I believe that a lawyer needs to have a message and a purpose… The sky’s the limit. If you really put your work into something, you will most surely see the fruits behind it.”
Lawyer, Fulbright scholar, and Hand in Hand alumnus Mo’taz Ershied recently completed his Master of Laws degree at Columbia University. Mo’taz tells us about his upbringing in Jerusalem, what inspired him to study law, his experience at Columbia, and his advocacy as a lawyer to help immigrants attain visa status. His longterm goal is to come back to Jerusalem and attain social and economic equality through supporting Palestinian startups. We are proud to call him a Hand in Hand alum. Check out his video below.
