9th grade Students win second place at the Space and Astronomy Research Competition!

March 18, 2018

Congratulations to the 9th graders at the Max Rayne Hand in Hand Jerusalem School for winning second place in the final round of the country-wide Space and Astronomy Research Competition!

The team of Arab and Jewish students were selected as one of the top ten teams out of the 200 that entered. Each team had to build a satellite – and our students built a model that can detect refugees in the Mediterranean Sea and send signals to rescue teams to find and save them.

Adam, Romeo, Netta, Shali, Tavor, Basel, Rami, Sandian, Nur, Abed, Mahmoud, Lana, and Eddie – We are so proud of you!
